brief summary:
Two women, an urban farmer/land artist and an entomologist specializing in species collapse, do not know each other but are pregnant by the same man. As their pregnancies progress, they become increasingly intertwined through a recurring dream of ecological catastrophe. Despite living thousands of miles apart, they make their way towards each other in order to join forces to try to stop the impending disaster.
